Traineeships

Give your career prospects a boost with a tailored Traineeship, offering you real work experience with help and support to gain the skills and confidence to enable you to move onto an Apprenticeship or to increase your chances of securing a job you want.

A Traineeship is a programme tailored to you, with real work experience and accredited English and Maths qualifications (if needed). You must be aged 16 to 18. The programme can last up to 52 weeks.

How can it help me?

  • Get the work experience and support to help you move onto a job or an Apprenticeship
  • Real world experience with local and national employers
  • As well as work experience, your employer will support you and help you to learn the skills you need to secure a job, e.g. job searches/interview skills, timekeeping and team working
  • The possibility of financial support e.g. with your travel costs from the 16-19 Bursary fund, subject to status
  • Increase your chances of getting a job, by improving your English and Maths skills (if needed)
  • Regular progress reviews - your tutor and employer will review your progress every 4-6 weeks to celebrate achievements and set achievable targets
  • If your host company is looking for Apprentices or employees, you may also be able to interview for these at the end of your Traineeship, from the informed position of having worked for the company already

Business Administration Traineeship

Get experience whilst getting qualified. This tailored Traineeship offers you work experience in a business administration setting and will help you gain a City and Guilds Level 2 Business Administration qualification, to set you well on your way towards an Apprenticeship or job. Set yourself aside from other job seekers with the option of improving your English and Maths skills too.

What is a Business Administration Traineeship?

  • A programme tailored to you with a substantial work placement, a City and Guilds Level 2 Business Administration qualification and Functional Skills in English and Maths at Level 2 (if needed)
  • Up to 52 weeks
  • You must be aged 16-18

How can it help me?

  • Get the work experience and support to help you move onto a job or an Apprenticeship
  • Real world experience with local and national employers
  • The Level 2 Business Administration qualification can be used as a stepping-stone to a Level 3 Apprenticeship
  • As well as work experience, your employer will support you and help you to learn the skills you need to secure a job, e.g. job searches/interview skills, timekeeping and team working
  • The possibility of financial support e.g. with your travel costs from the 16-19 Bursary fund, subject to status
  • Increase your chances of getting a job, by improving your English and Maths skills (if needed)
