ESOL for 16-18 Year Olds
Supporting Asylum Seekers Through ESOL
Start your education journey with a course specifically designed for 16-18 year olds who are seeking asylum in the UK. If you are not in any other education provision, we can support you to gain recognised qualifications and life skills. Our dedicated team will support you with your Personal Education Plans and your next steps. Subject to eligibility, you may qualify for financial support with travel.

What are ESOL courses?
- A 3 day a week, full academic year course
- Designed for 16-18 year olds who want English as a second language and are asylum seekers
- An opportunity to progress into other study programmes with Kent Training & Apprenticeships or other further education providers
- An opportunity to participate in team building activities
How can an ESOL course help me?
- ESOL entry level in Reading, Writing and Speaking qualifications with an internationally recognised exam board
- Functional Skill Maths qualification with an internationally recognised exam board
- The opportunity to gain a certificate in An Introduction to First Aid
- An Introduction to IT
- Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance to help you create a CV and write application forms
- It will help you gain the life skills required in your future career and help with living in the UK
