DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
The vacancy is for an office administrator within a busy school environment. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can complement our team of professionals by ensuring telephones are answered, parents, visitor, professionals and Governors are treated in a professional manner and general office administration is completed.
We are looking for someone to complete general office duties and to offer support to our very busy team. Duties will be varied and will include:
- Greeting parents, visitors, professionals, and Governors
- Receiving parcels
- Answering telephones
- Photocopying/printing and scanning documents
- General Filing duties
- Typing / Correspondence
Starting wage £4.15 per hour
Monday to Friday
Minimum 30 hours a week
9am – 4pm
1 hour for lunch unpaid
- Good ICT Skills
- Ability to work well on their own as well as with others
- Good maths and English skills – GCSE A-C
- Ability to work in an organised and structured way and prioritise workload
- Ability to deal calmly with challenging situations
- Well organised
- Good attention to detail
GCSE Maths and English Grade C
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards
As of 1st April 2020, the NMW for Apprentices is £4.15 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work.
