Description of Vacancy
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic apprentice to join the team here at Denmaur Paper Media, which is one of the lead specialist paper suppliers in the UK.
We would like to recruit someone to work within our samples room team to provide paper samples and mock up magazines to existing and prospective customers.
Main duties to include:-
- Produce and send paper samples and replica’s to customers
- Maintain supplies of paper stock for sampling and testing
- Label printed samples
- Create mock-ups and dummies
- Store away paper stock
- Maintain sufficient levels of equipment and supplies
- Opportunity to work alongside the Sales and Marketing teams, to expand role
£288.75 per week, starting salary. This could increase incrementally on achievement of performance and behaviour.
Working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
9am to 5:30pm.

- Good Spoken English

- Physically fit, as some manual handling
Minimum achieved Grade D or equivalent in English and Maths.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards
As of 1st April 2018, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work.
