DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
We currently have an opportunity for someone with an interest and flair for design to join our small team in a busy office in Folkestone, Kent.
Answering telephone calls
Responding to email
Handling customer requirements and offering advice
Maintaining customer account information along with other general administration tasks.
In addition to the above general office duties the apprentice will be trained to design products and packaging from client files and to project manage the creation of product lines and the making of brochures and flyers
Full training will be provided
£3.90 per hour rising depending on experience
Enthusiastic with initiative to develop a role within an interesting and growing local company
Have previous experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud suit or previous versions of, especially, Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design or Quark Express.
Photographic skills would be advantageous
Familiar with MS Office and Windows operating system
Willing to learn new skills
Attention to detail
A polite friendly manner
Ability to work well in a team
Reliable and trustworthy
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
