DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY

What we are looking for:

An individual who has excellent organisational and communication skills, with a positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for the beauty industry.

As our front of house receptionist you will ensure excellent customer service is the forefront of the salon. Being the first and the last point of contact to our valued clients, our front of house receptionist plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of our salon.

From answering calls to keeping our team’s columns running smoothly and providing great product advice, this job is more about client and team liaison than simply front-of-house.

We expect high standards of service with a proactive attitude.

WAGE

Minimum £3.90 per hour – £136.50 per week

HOURS

Monday 10am – 5pm

Wednesday 9am to 5pm

Thursday 10am to 8pm

Friday 11am to 8pm

Saturday 9am to 3pm

Tuesday Off

1 hour break per day

35 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

GCSE Grades 4 or higher in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.

TRAINING PROVIDED

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

 

Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.

Important Information

Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
