DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
This is a great opportunity to develop key administrative skills within a family-run company who produce bespoke exhibition stands for a range of national and international clients.
Having recently re-located to the Eurolink estate in Sittingbourne, M J Exhibitions are looking for their next Apprentice Office Administrator to become a part of the company’s growth.
Supporting the Director, you will be assisting with a range of administrative tasks which will support the smooth-running of the business and retain its excellent reputation for customer satisfaction.
This will be a busy role combining a range of administrative tasks that will support the Director in the smooth-running and success of the company.
Tasks will include – but are not limited to – the following:
– Helping to manage and maintain CRM-databases with accuracy.
-Responding to queries from current and prospective clients
-Following-up and chasing receipt of invoices
-Setting up and maintaining files for individual customers.
-Other general administrative duties as required
£153.75 per week (£4.10 per hour)
37.5 Working Hours per week:
Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00
Includes 30 minutes lunch-break each day (unpaid).
The successful candidate should have good ICT skills and grammar. A good understanding of Excel is desirable.
We are looking for somebody who is organised, confident and punctual.
Minimum grade D / 3 in English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent).
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards
As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work.
