DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
Business Administration Officer within the Budget Support team of CLS. The role will support the team and the managers to ensure funding is allocated correctly and budgets are monitored efficiently.
Some of the main duties will include: –
- Answering telephones
- Updating our software, UNIT E with learners’ details.
- Raising Journal transfers
- Processing invoices
- Assist budget team with transactional billing
- Producing financial information and providing guidance and support to other areas of the business.
- Receipt Sponsor Income on Student Accounts.
- Running reports off our Oracle software
- Ensuring a clear audit trail of funding allocated.
£146 per week
37hrs – Monday – Friday
Demonstrate skills in Excel and Outlook, good time management and good attention to detail.
Enjoys working with figures/numbers.
Ability to plan and organise own work and identify priorities.
Use own initiative.
Work as a team.
Pleasant telephone manner.
Flexible, friendly and ability to work as a team.
A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
