Gain your Supply Chain Warehouse Operative qualification while also learning to brew beer with a small and friendly roll up your sleeves team.

The candidate will participate in every part of the process from brew day to packaging to speaking to customers.

The hope is that the right person will want a job with us when the apprenticeship is over.

Making beer is fun and exciting, but the key to success is keeping everything clean and accurate warehouse logistics. It can’t ever be, “That will do.”

This role is varied and different each week. Some of the key duties include: –

  • Assisting with Stock control, including ingredients audit
  • Ensuring brewing materials are kept the correct conditions
  • Measuring ingredients including hops, wheat and chemicals
  • Maintaining brewing machinery
  • Extensive preparation of vessels, including a thorough cleaning of brewing equipment, floors and stores.
  • Packaging and bottling beer into casks, kegs, and bottles
  • Dealing with customers who attend site to collect
  • Preparing deliveries.

While the apprentice will be based predominately at the brewery in Capel, but there will be an occasion for work to be done at Home, our taproom on Tontine Street in Folkestone.


£4.15 per hour


40 hours a week. Generally, 9-5 but some flexibility required for an early or late finish on brew days.

GCSE (or equivalent) Grade A-C/4-9 is required in either English or Maths, with a minimum of Grade E/2 in the other subject


On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship and Functional Skills if appropriate.


Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards


Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2020, the NMW for Apprentices is £4.15 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.

Important Information
