DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
This is a great opportunity to join an established company as an Apprentice Warehouse Assistant.
PBI International have a history of supporting apprentices, and its small but experienced friendly team environment is an ideal place to learn and grow.
Your role will be fast-paced and include a range of tasks, including the picking of goods and tracking parcels.

As part of this exciting opportunity, some of the main duties will include:-
- Picking, packing and checking-off of goods
- Sorting deliveries and packing away
- Processing of delivery notes as per company manual
- Archiving of packing notes
- Tracking of parcels upon request
- Continual audit and re-ordering of stock
£156 per week (based on £3.90 per hour)
40 working hours per week:
Monday to Thursday: 8.45 – 5.15
Friday: 8.45 – 5
Includes daily 30 minute lunch break (unpaid)
Good, basic computer skills would be ideal
We are looking for somebody who is a good team player, and eager to learn
Minimum grade D/3 GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
