KMS offers on and off site tuition and education for Post 16 students who may not yet be ready to progress onto a mainstream college, employment, training or apprenticeship. KMS provides a nurturing learning environment with small group sizes. KMS also offer a mentoring service for children and young people.

DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
This is an exciting opportunity to gain key administrative skills whilst supporting the two main services of KMS Kent Ltd: the Post 16 specialist provision KMS, and the independent special school, Cross Keys Learning.
Providing administrative support to the senior management team, you will play a key role in keeping both services running smooth.
Working across both services will keep your role varied and give you lots of exposure to new knowledge and skills, in different settings, which will support you throughout your career.

This is a varied role and the tasks will include – but are not limited to – the following:
– Providing administrative support to the senior management team
– Answering the telephone
– Dealing with enquiries
– Taking minutes of senior staff meetings
– Photocopying and filing documents
– Booking in appointments and meetings
– Data inputting
– managing reception
£145.25 per week (based on £4.15 per hour)
Times: 08:30 – 16:00
35 hours a week
30 mins lunch break.
Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing. IT skills. Essential confidentiality
Due to the requirements of the role, the successful candidate should be aged 18 or above. An offer of employment will be subject to DBS clearance.
Either a minimum GCSE grade C/4, or Functional Skills Level 2, in both English and maths.

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards
As of 1st April 2020, the NMW for Apprentices is £4.15 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
