Mr Clutch Autocentres provides a range of vehicle maintenance services. We are seeking an apprentice to support our Head Office function. A key aspect of this role is to provide support to the company’s customer service department and to the overall business. There is the potential for this position to develop into a dedicated permanent role.

DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
The Customer Service Practitioner Apprentice will be required to influence the customer experience and assist with their satisfaction of the organisation’s services.
The Apprentice will be expected to provide services in line with the organisation’s customer service standards and within the appropriate regulatory requirements. Customer interactions within the role will cover a wide range of situations including telephone, post, email, text and social media.
Provide support to the customer services team that includes the recording of customer queries and/or contacting customers.
Politely and professionally answer phone calls and direct them effectively taking messages where necessary and ensure these are passed to the relevant member of staff.
Meet and greet visitors to the head office, offering and making refreshments accordingly.
Assist with distribution of incoming and outgoing post on a daily basis (including weekly site post) and occasional trips to the post office for special/recorded items.
Provide additional administration support to the general office including marketing and HR.
Support the quotation and enquiry requests received through the Intranet.
£157.50 per week
Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.30 (1-hour unpaid lunchbreak)
Excellent customer service skills and a polite, professional, courteous and confident telephone manner with customers, suppliers and partners.
Good keyboard skills using and experience of using Microsoft windows.
Ability to prioritise own workload and excellent organisation skills.
Strong communication skills.
High attention to detail ensuring that all data is recorded accurately.
Capable of using initiative and work without constant supervision.
Hardworking and responsible with a flexible approach.
A team player to help with all tasks.
Determination to succeed.
GCSE Grade 4 to 9 (or Grade C or higher) in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – Customer Services Practitioner Level 2 Standard will establish an Apprentice’s skills to deliver high quality service to customers both internally and externally. The Apprenticeship will incorporate knowledge of customers and the customer experience, understanding the organisation, its products/services and their role and responsibilities.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
As of 1st April 2021, the NMW for Apprentices is £4.30 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
