DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY

The key purpose of this role is to support the business with the day to day general tasks whilst studying for a formal Customer Services Apprenticeship.

  • Ensuring visitors are greeted in a professional manner and visitor passes are issued appropriately.
  • Answer telephone calls, resolving queries whenever possible & as required forward on messages.
  • Formatting of documents and providing general administrative support duties.
  • Diary management, photocopying, mail, filing, archiving.
  • Sorting and preparing a daily post.

Ad-hoc administration tasks to support HR, and other departments within the Business.

This is a great opportunity to join an experienced and professional team, where you will be trained to carry out the professional duties of a Reception Administrator whilst studying for a formal Customer Service Apprenticeship.

WAGE

Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:15
Lunch Break – 45 minutes (unpaid)

Friday 08:00-13:15

No Lunch Break

HOURS

£4.15 per hour

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Professional communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work accurately towards tight deadlines.
  • Have good administrative skills
  • Computer literate, conversant with Excel, Word and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.
  • Highly organised with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Quick learner.
  • Can treat all communication with a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality

PERSONAL QUALITIES

Enthusiastic team player who shows initiative, and is responsible, committed with a personable disposition and a positive learning attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

GCSE (or equivalent) Grade A-C/4-9 is required in English or Maths, with a minimum of Grade E/2 in the other subject.

Study at A level or equivalent in any subject would also be an advantage.

TRAINING PROVIDED

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards

Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2020, the NMW for Apprentices is £4.15 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.

Important Information
