Employer Description

FMC are a small, busy property company based in East Kent. In addition to owning properties within the group, we manage large commercial buildings and sites through Kent and Sussex for external clients.

Description of Vacancy

In addition to general office administration, the role will involve assisting with the day-to-day management of commercial properties and sites, along with liaising with Tenants and Contractors and assisting with ongoing maintenance and management issues.

Office administration including but not limited to:
• Making and receiving telephone calls
• Sending and receiving emails
• Researching tasks
• Arranging meetings
• Assisting with arranging contract works
• Liaising with tenants and site staff


£260 per week


Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 17.00pm. 1 hour paid lunch       
20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as "Off the Job Training"

Skills Required

The ability to work as part of a small team, use initiative and have good communication and telephone skills are essential.

Personal Qualities

Outgoing personality, confidence and the ability to learn are essential.

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard - Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviors that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike, from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.

Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2024, the NMW for Apprentices is £6.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
