DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
We are expanding our admin team and are therefore looking to recruit an Office Assistant. This is an exciting vacancy for the right candidate as it is a chance for them to make the role their own and assist in taking our vision forward. It is essential that the Office Assistant is committed to the ethos of Parkview Care and has a passion for working with children.
Due to expansion, we are looking to recruit resourceful and enthusiastic staff, at all levels, to join our team.
The role will cover a range of administrative duties, which will include – but are not limited to – the following:
– Monitoring and updating online information systems
-Assisting with the process of recruiting new staff, including arranging interviews and verifying references
– Dealing with telephone enquiries
– Stock duties including ordering products, such as stationery, as required
– Some domestic duties (including meeting and greeting visitors, preparing drinks etc)
As you build up experience, and the organisation grows, there will be scope to make the role your own and help influence and implement new administrative processes.
£146.25 per week
37.5 working hours per week:
Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00
Includes a 30 minute lunchbreak (unpaid)
We are looking for somebody with professional communication skills, who is a confident user of Microsoft packages.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that the candidate has an understanding on how to maintain confidentiality.
Any appointment will be subject to DBS clearance and 3 references (If there is no existing employment history, these references can be comprised of two personal references and one from a contact at school or college)
Minimum grade C/4 in English and Maths GCSE ir equivalent
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards
As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work.
