EMPLOYER DESCRIPTION

Whitstable Medical Practice is based across 4 sites in Whitstable.  There are 26 GPs looking after 40,000 patients. They offer a number of additional services which include cataract surgery, ultrasound, dermatology, physical therapies and audiology, a day surgery suite and an urgent treatment centre with digital x-ray.

VACANCY DESCRIPTION

This is an opportunity to undertake varied administrative role within the practice, duties include;

  • Photocopying
  • Laminating,
  • Entering information onto the computer e.g. training certificates
  • Ordering consumables,
  • Updating practice intranet and website
  • Any other administration jobs that arise

WAGE

£4.40 per hour

£162.80 a week

HOURS

Monday – Thursday – 8.30 am – 4.00pm

Friday – 8.30am – 3.30pm

(37 hours)

30-minute paid lunch break

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

A* – D GCSE English and Maths

TRAINING PROVIDED

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work-based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

 

Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.

Important Information
