DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
We are a small and friendly company who are looking for a team player to gain an understanding of technical products, develop Sales skills and support our administration through best business practices. The right candidate will have the opportunity to learn business administration in a small but fast growing company. Through the apprenticeship you will get great experience in all areas of working in an office whilst also learning about our products and markets.
As a small company working in an exciting market you will have the opportunity to learn and develop many new skills and your duties will include:
Talking to customers on the phone and understanding their requirements
Processing sales orders
Writing emails and quotes to customers
Assisting the team in getting orders ready for shipping
Research into new products and markets
Assist in the preparation of exhibitions we attend and working on the stand
Understanding digital marketing/social media to promote the company
Content management of company website
Though this is a business administration apprenticeship this is a very varied role and preference will be given to candidates who have the capability and interest to understand technical products alongside the business administration framework

£4.50 per hour
Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm
Lunch : 1 hour (unpaid)

A* – C of Equivalent GCSE English, Maths and a science subject (physics,chemistry.biology or computer science)
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
As of 1st April 2019, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.90 per hour. This applies to 16 - 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work.
