UCAS-style apprenticeship database to launch in 2015

A revolutionary new method for 16 to 18 year olds to find out about vocational skills and training opportunities was announced at the  2014 Skills Show in Birmingham.

Nick Clegg that a national database of post-16 skills and employer-led courses and opportunities in England, similar to the UCAS system, will be in place by the beginning of the next school year in September 2015.

He also celebrated the fact that the current government has doubled the number of people being employed as apprentices compared to the last government.
