Success stories: meet our apprentices…
Charley applied for an Apprenticeship with KT&A as she had always been passionate about helping children learn and develop. As soon as she started her programme within a friendly nursery, she knew she could rely on our support, even throughout the Coronavirus crisis. Charley says: “I have really benefitted from the support received from all of my tutors, especially throughout lockdown”. Her tutor was in constant contact with her, not only to support her learning but also to check on her wellbeing during this difficult time. After her negative experience of using public transport to attend her ICT exam, her tutor and partnership manager organised a taxi for Charley’s next exam, so that she could focus solely on her learning. Charley summarises: “My tutor was exceptional; we built a good rapport and I felt as though she listened and understood my needs and gave me the support I needed throughout my Apprenticeship”.
Charley has now achieved her Children and Young Peoples Workforce Level 2 qualification, an ICT Level 1 qualification and English Level 2 qualification, which has given Charley’s confidence a huge boost. She is now looking for full-time work in the childcare sector and is considering gaining further qualifications with KT&A.
We are so proud of Charley and her achievements, and we wish her the best of luck in the future.
