Some kind words about one of our Apprentices
Published: January 16, 2017
As we currently have over 450 Apprentices placed across the county in all types of industries, it can be tough to keep track of how much every Apprentice is getting on, so it’s great when a business reaches out to us to tell us how pleased they are with their Apprentice. This happened last week when Time & Tide Brewing in Eastry let us know that they plan on keeping their current Apprentice Tom on completion of his Apprenticeship which is very soon, and had the following kind words to say.
“We’ve had a successful year with Tom Green as our apprentice and as this draws to an end (we plan on keeping him on) we’d like to recruit another apprentice. We think Tom is one of the real success stories of apprenticeships. When he first approached us he had tried a number of different career paths – none of which had really worked out, and we could see he was really keen to find something he could learn and get stuck into. Whilst he had no previous experience or knowledge of craft beer or brewing, we’ve worked together to build on his skills and knowledge, underpinned by his apprenticeship learning. It’s all focussed on the customer experience and customer service.
Tom has gone from strength to strength; and we intend to keep him on beyond his apprenticeship. His knowledge and love of craft beer has grown and developed as he has learned and got involved in all aspects of the business.
We approached a number of apprenticeship providers before contacting yourselves and I’d like to say we’ve been really pleased with all the help and support provided. Thank you for this – it’s been such a good experience we are now looking to take on another apprentice.”
Congratulations to Tom for his hard work and thanks to Time and Tide Brewing for clearly giving Tom such a fantastic and beneficial experience, and for keeping him on beyond his Apprenticeship!
