Description of Vacancy

Assist in the day to day delivery of front of house services for Libraries, Registration and Archives.

Job Description

  • Meet and greet all customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Assist customers with ICT use
  • Respond to customer enquiries
  • Ensuring the library is well presented at all times
  • Booking appointments for customers using a variety of ICT systems
  • Promoting events and activities

Skills Required

  • Basic computer skills
  • English/Maths/ICT
  • Ability to work well on their own
  • Good telephone manner, polite and professional
  • Ability to work in an organised and structured way
  • Good understanding of IT

  • Punctual
  • Enthusiastic
  • Organised
  • Good attention to detail

Qualifications Required

Minimum of Level 1 in maths and English


3 days a week – times to be discussed at interview

Future Prospects

Potential for full time employment/apprenticeship for the correct candidate

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer and Functional Skills if appropriate.

Regular work based reviews carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor
