An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small but rapidly growing team here at Pure Garden Buildings for a Customer Service Assistant Traineeship. The company is primarily located in Folkestone and Dover, with a depot in Manchester. An opportunity to join our team, with this position being Folkestone (Hawkinge, Kent) based.
Description of Vacancy
The role is suitable for someone new to Customer Service work, has a can-do attitude, or has an ambition to enter the exciting world of recruitment. We are looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and holds a high regard for customer service. Any prior experience in Admin will be useful but not essential.
We are looking to work closely with the successful candidate, upskill them through in house training courses, and provide valuable experience. At the end of the Traineeship, all candidates will be offered an interview for a permanent position within one of the companies within the group.
About the role
In this role you will be working in the head office Reporting to the Customer Service Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Answering the phone offering helpful and enthusiastic service to all our customers
- Replying to emails and messages across a variety of platforms (including eBay, Amazon and Facebook)
- Processing orders you have taken yourself or that other colleagues pass on
- Additional office duties including data entry, filing and other administrative tasks as necessary
Skills Required
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- English/Maths/ICT
Personal Qualities
- Good telephone manner, polite and professional
- Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision
- Enthusiastic, reliable, well-presented and flexible in approach
Qualifications Required

Training Provided
On the job training with the employer and Functional Skills if appropriate. Regular work based reviews carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor
