Description of Vacancy

We’re looking for high-achieving individuals with an interest in a career in a fast-growing business sector. You will be selling our training courses and recruitment services, following up on courses and providing the full range of aftercare. You’ll be contacting senior decision-makers to discuss their current challenges and objectives, as well as assisting them in determining how our courses may help their engineers improve their business performance.

The main responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Advising customers on relevant training courses and prerequisites
  • Taking bookings for all training courses by telephone, email and web
  • Organising and arranging onsite training courses
  • Using the company accounts system to produce quotations and invoices
  • Printing course notes
  • Ensuring training centre is clean and tidy at all times
  • Assisting instructors and sending all relevant course notes prior to the course commencement Issuing training certificates
  • Uploading, downloading exams and contacting delegates with results
  • Providing additional administrational support as required
  • Passing on messages received by phone and email
  • Use of MS Office

Wage

£211.20 per week with reviews subject to performance. Possible earning from £20,000 on completion of apprenticeship.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm
30 minute lunch unpaid
20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as "Off the Job Training"

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – Customer Services Practitioner Level 2 Standard will establish an Apprentice’s skills to deliver high quality service to customers both internally and externally. The Apprenticeship will incorporate knowledge of customers and the customer experience, understanding the organisation, its products/services and their role and responsibilities.

Regular work-based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

Additional Detail

As of 1st April 2024, the NMW for Apprentices is £6.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
