Why apply for a Business Administration Apprenticeship?

Do you want to gain qualifications and develop a wide variety of skills whilst earning a wage? If so, our Business Administration Apprenticeship programme may be for you.

The Business Administration Apprenticeship will provide you with highly transferable knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in almost all sectors, including public, private and charitable organisations. The role may be a gateway to further career opportunities, such as management or senior support roles. It will involve working independently and as part of a team, developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. The role will involve problem-solving, decision making, managing priorities and showing initiative.

Throughout the course of the programmes, you will gain experience and develop skills in the following:

  • IT
  • Recording and document production
  • Decision making
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Communications
  • Quality
  • Planning and organisation
  • Project management

You will build detailed knowledge of an organisation and the wider business environment and knowledge in relevant regulation, policies, processes and external environmental factors. Our experienced assessors and line managers will work together to support and review your progress throughout your Apprenticeship. This qualification is likely to take approximately 18 months leading to an End Point Assessment with a resulting grade at either pass, merit or distinction.

Whilst on the course each learner is required to have 20% of their contracted working hours allocated to work towards the achievement of the Apprenticeship. I.e. attending webinars, online learning, shadowing or completing assessments.

Furthermore, each candidate will be required to complete an End Point Assessment, which may include an interview, a presentation, a work-based project and completion of a showcase portfolio.

So, what do you need in order to apply? We required all prospective candidates to hold GCSE (or equivalent) Grade A-C/4-9 in English or Maths, with a minimum of Grade E/2 in the other subject.
